In honour of this significant occasion, a variety of exciting events have been planned to coincide with the grand celebrations that are taking place in London. You’ll find plenty to do between Saturday 6th and Monday 8th May 2023.
What to do in Bournemouth

Live music on the pier
From 8pm on Saturday 6th May, the day of the coronation, Key West on Bournemouth pier will be hosting live music and they invite you to come and celebrate with them. The Plus Ones, a professional four-piece cover band, will perform music from the best British artists with hits you’ll be sure to sing along to.

Watch the Windsor Castle live concert on the big screen
On Sunday 7th, May Windsor Castle is hosting a live music concert in honour of the King’s coronation. You can view the whole event on the big screen in three locations. Bring your picnic and be part of the big coronation lunch, don’t forget your deck chairs or simply a picnic blanket and make an afternoon of it. You can catch the broadcast in the following locations:
- Lower gardens in Bournemouth.
- The Quomps in Christchurch.
- Baiter Park in Poole.
